Understanding Anxiety- A workshop with Lynn Lyons, LICSW

Tuesday, June 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Free

Helping Children (and Parents) Manage Emotionally During Uncertain Times

Children and teens were struggling with increasing rates of anxiety and depression prior to 2020, and this past year didn’t help.  Parents and caregivers need strategies to help children (and themselves!) manage the uncertainty of our current environment as we recover and move forward. Lynn will talk about the skills of emotional management including how to increase flexibility, tolerate uncertainty, communicate effectively and replace catastrophic thinking with problem-solving.

This workshop is virtual and you will be emailed a Zoom link a few days before the event.

The conversation about kids and anxiety will also be the topic of our Summer Discussion Series where we will discuss and share tools from Lynn’s book, Anxious Kids, Anxious Parents. Reading the book is optional. Join us for any or all of these virtual conversations. Zoom app required. Sign up here for the summer discussion group.
