Boost Executive Function Skills ~
Executive function skills help us plan, organize, make decisions, control our emotions and impulsivity, and learn from past mistakes. Children aren’t born with these skills—they are born with the potential to develop them and they rely on these skills for everything from taking a shower to packing a backpack and picking priorities.
Linda Martin, form Portsmouth Neuropsychology, will facilitate a workshop to help parents understand these essential skills and how they impact our daily routines and interactions with our children. This workshop will offer strategies and tools that parents can use to enhance children’s abilities to plan, organize, self-regulate and boost working memory and flexible thinking.
