Families First in Portsmouth

100 Campus Drive, Portsmouth, NH

Families First’s Portsmouth, NH, office is located in the Community Campus building — just north of Water Country, about half a mile west of Route 1. The Campus has free parking and is fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Driving to Portsmouth office

from Route 16 or I-95
  • Follow signs to Route 1 Bypass in Portsmouth.
  • Enter the Portsmouth Traffic Circle; drive halfway around.
  • Exit the Traffic Circle onto Route 1 Bypass, South.
  • Follow next set of directions
from the Portsmouth Traffic Circle
  • Take Route 1 South (a.k.a. Lafayette Road).
  • Pass Market Basket Plaza on your right. After going through the traffic light at the south end of Market Basket Plaza, continue on Lafayette Road for another half mile.
  • Turn RIGHT on West Road. (You will see signs for the COMMUNITY CAMPUS.) If you pass Water Country, you’ve gone too far.
  • Follow West Road until you come to a small roundabout at the entrance to the Community Campus. Go through the roundabout and follow the drive into the Campus.
  • Drive all the way around the building and park in rear lot. Enter through door next to small playground.
from Route 1, south of Portsmouth
  • Take Route 1 North into Portsmouth.
  • Take the first LEFT after Water Country, onto West Road. (You will see signs for COMMUNITY CAMPUS.)
  • Follow West Road until you come to a small roundabout at the entrance to the Community Campus. Go through the roundabout and follow the drive into the Campus.
  • Drive all the way around the building and park in rear lot. Enter through door next to small playground.

Public transportation

COAST’s Lafayette Road Trolley serves the Community Campus from many locations in Portsmouth. For information, click here or call (603) 743-5777. Please note: On weekdays, the trolley will stop at the Community Campus only by request: Tell the driver that you want to be dropped off at the Campus, then when you are ready to leave, call 743-5777 (then press 1) to ask to be picked up. Saturday service will still automatically stop at the Community Campus – no request is necessary on Saturday only.
