Free Parenting and Family Programs at Families First in April
All parents and children are welcome at the parenting classes, playgroups and other programs that Families First Health and Support Center will offer in April. Most programs are free of charge, and all include free child care, with dinner for kids during evening programs. Advance signup is needed for all programs (unless Drop-ins OK is noted), and is always needed for child care. Call 603-422-8208 ext. 2.
Portsmouth All Portsmouth programs take place at the Community Campus. Building in Protection. Tuesday, April 7, 6-7:30 p.m. Parenting the Challenging Child Series, second Wednesday of the month, 6 to 7:30 p.m. The topic for April 8 is: Help for Your Aggressive Child: Understanding and redirecting your child's behavior. Keeping Your Cool: Anger Help for Everyday Parenting. Wednesdays, April 8-29, 6-7:30 p.m. Winning at Parenting. Thursdays, April 9 and April 23, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Getting Better at Getting Along. Tuesdays, April 14-28, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Toddler Playtime. Mondays, weekly; 9:30-11 a.m. Drop-ins OK. Babytime. Tuesdays, weekly, 10-11:30 a.m. Drop-ins OK. Preschool Playtime. Seabrook Keeping Your Cool: Handling Strong Emotions and Helping Your Kids Handle Theirs. Thursdays, March 26April 23, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seacoast Youth Services, 867 Lafayette Rd. The Teen Years are Coming. Tuesday, April 7, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seabrook Middle School. For parents of kids ages 8-13. Parent Recharge Tuesdays, weekly, 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Seabrook Community Center.
