If you are uninsured, Families First would like to help you understand your new health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act, and help you enroll if you are eligible. Click here for info on personalized enrollment assistance and other resources. (Uninsured patients may also apply for Families First's sliding fee scale, which offers discounts based on income.)
If you are insured, Families First Health Center and Dental Center accept most private insurance plans, as well as Medicaid and Medicare, as listed below.
Families First Health Center is "in-network" for these providers:
- Anthem (including Anthem Pathway plans purchased through the new Health Insurance Marketplace — a.k.a. "the Exchange" — under the Affordable Care Act)
- Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
- NH Medicaid (NH Healthy Families, Well Sense Health Plan)
- Maine Medicaid (not accepted for prenatal care)
- MVP Healthcare

If you have other health insurance: Families First will bill any medical insurance carrier. However, patients are responsible for knowing what their benefits are and for covering any costs of the visit that are not reimbursed by their insurance carrier.
Families First Dental Center accepts these insurance plans:
- Anthem Dental
- Delta Dental
- Maine Medicaid
- NH Medicaid
- United Concordia
If you have other dental insurance: You will need to pay the full cost of your visit and may submit a claim to your insurance carrier requesting reimbursement.
